Revised Australian FF1GP results

Thursday, April 2nd, 2009

Well this isn’t quite the start we wanted to the 2009 F1 season. More controversy!

After Jarno Trulli got penalised very harshly in the Australian Grand Prix for overtaking during a safety care period, his 3rd place win has been restored.

However, new evidence came to light to the stewards, that Lewis “deliberately mislead” the stewards at the hearing in Australia. I’ll leave you to judge for yourself, but the end result was Lewis has been disqualified, and Jarno’s 3rd place has been reinstated.

The FF1GP results for Austalia have been updated, if you have either McLaren or Lewis Hamlilton you will be awarded -5 points.

However the results are still provisional, as the diffuser appleal due to be heard on the 14th of April could change things again.

Belgium FF1GP results

Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008

Yesterday, Lewis Hammilton and the Mclaren team presented their case in Paris over the 25 second penalty that was given for cutting a chicane.

The FIA gave their verdict today, it turns out that the appeal wasn’t admissible in the first please, as the 25 second penalty is counted as a stop-go penalty and can’t be appealed. So we will never know what was decided about the chicane cutting in Paris, if it was ever decided.

The story can be read more from the BBC and the ITV-F1 sites.

As for the FF1GP results, the Belgium results are now considered as finalalised.
